The Radiation Protection Centre (RPC) is a regulatory authority institution in field of radiation protection under the Ministry of Health. The Authority works in order to protect people and the environment from the undesirable effects of radiation. The RPC organies and performs different research programmes in areas of radiation protection as food, water and soil measurements, radon indoor and outdoor investigations, occupational and medical exposure monitoring. All these samplings and measurements are performed under local research programmes funded and approved by the Ministry of Health. RPC as regulatory authority in field of radiation protection to collect information from others institutions and organisations performing radiological measurements and monitoring and use data for analysis and assessment of exposure to public.

Role in the project

The RPC contributes mainly to WP 1 and more in particular to Task 1.7.
